• HTML-Kit Build 290 and higher

TopStyle Lite is no longer detected as a style sheet editor after upgrading from TopStyle Lite version 2.0 to 2.5.HTML-Kit looks for a specific key in the Windows Registry, originally created by TopStyle Lite 1.x - 2.0, to determine the presence of TopStyle Lite. During the upgrade from version 2.0 to TopStyle Lite 2.5, this registry key may get renamed or deleted.

Upgrade to TopStyle Lite 2.51 or higher, and/or HTML-Kit Build 292 or higher.

Follow instructions listed below to use TopStyle Lite with HTML-Kit Build 290 only if upgrading at least one of the applications is not an option:

The registry key queried by HTML-Kit Build 290 can be added using the following workaround. Editing the Windows Registry incorrectly can cause serious problems to your system. Use it at your own risk and make a system backup first if necessary.

1. Close HTML-Kit.
    
2. Start the Windows Registry Editor.
    
3. Change to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths key.
    
4. Look for a key named TSLite.exe or TSLite2.exe, and proceed only if it is not found.
    
5. Select the App Paths key.
    
6. Select Edit | New | Key from the main menu and name the new key TSLite.exe
    
7. Close the Windows Registry Editor and restart HTML-Kit.

Note that if TopStyle Lite is uninstalled, it maybe necessary to delete the above registry key manually.
