The "Windows Integration" dialog box is frequently being displayed while starting HTML-Kit. This document describes possible reasons and workarounds.
HTML-Kit is setup to check if it's the default HTML editor, but not setup as the default HTML editor. Or another program is registering itself as the default HTML editor, resetting HTML-Kit's status as the default editor.
To setup HTML-Kit as the default editor: go to "Edit | Preferences | Programs" from the main menu and click the button in the "Windows Integration" section. Check the "Make HTML-Kit the default HTML file editor" option and click "OK."
If the "Windows Integration" dialog continues to display itself while starting HTML-Kit:
- Make sure that another program is not registering itself as the default HTML editor (if the intention is to keep HTML-Kit as the default HTML editor).
- Or, uncheck the "Check to see if HTML-Kit is the default HTML editor" option under "Edit | Preferences | Startup."
